New Zealand fielding 3 Top teams on one weekend

New zealand rugby is really setting up a world cup yr with 3 teams...
1...The main stream All Blacks team
    2...The NZ Maori Team
    3...The Nz Ba Baas

Yes I know the NZ Maori's is a international team..

That gives them a squad of 69 to 80 plus players playing international rugby over the weekend... I see that as a way to choose the best team for the Rugby Champs and Bledisloe cup..
The Maori and BaBaas game was a fiece encounter . Some guys pushing for mainstream spots

After watching the Sxv NZ squads it all about competing for a position in the top 23 and with the Maori and Ba Baas teams it gives them some time to push the coaches for that spot.. I have never ever seen the NZRU have so many games of top level rugby in a yr... Graham Henry wanted this many yrs ago and the NZRU canned it... A way to keep all players fit and rugby ready..

Anyone else got thoughts on this

The ARU needs to find the money to revive the Aus A team to play 2nd string nations & the likes of the Maori & kiwi Barbarians. Another step in the line from club rugby - wallabies

So it won't happen because the ARU are too busy pissing money up the wall.

I haven't taken Jargs' advice against laziness, but they seem to be able to meet the wages bill with the same number of SR teams who seem to draw crowds which we call disappointing. I guess they'll get a lot of sponsorship money from the ABs and the TV deal for their provincial competition would be bigger, but you'd need to balance tat with the number of levels you need to drill down from the top level to get to players who would be considered equivalent to our top players.

Suffice it to say I reckon our top players are earning too much, for this I blame the French (amongst others)

Don't worry Gigs I included a link to their most recent CBA deal with the NZRU.

No mention what they get paid for a Test though but digging around they get $7,800 for a week in camp. Wallabies took a cut back to $10k for test didn't they?

Mind you the AB's get paid in NZ dollars aka play money

I think the ARU & RUPA agreed to go from 13k to 11k per test. And it saved over 100k p/a

Can't remember properly and there is cricket on so I'm too busy to google

Man, I'd love to see Australia A play. Couple of "A" games at nib would be perfect.
