Last night I had an idea. Rugby should introduce a multi ball aspect.

Just think about it, both teams can potentially be on attack and defence at the same time. Someone can be lining up a penalty shot at one end when a try is scored at the other end.

    Ratings gold.

That would be the greatest revolution in the sport since William Webb Ellis put the ball on the ground in 1823 and invented soccer.

It's something that crosses my mind, even if you remember the "dour" defensive-minded Bok team from '98 under Mallet and Teichmann, the matches were still awesome. Certainly less of a mess in the maul, and less of a repetitive slog up the middle.

Easy peasy, vodka in the drinks bottle. At least there would be a point to the endless stoppages in play then...

I'm not sure the TV stations would be too happy about seeing the backline stumbling about and slurring 'I love youse guys, you're the best mates' after halftime when the match has had a few scrums.

Well spotted Snob. Not a lot of closet mungos in ZA either. And here's me thinking Jargs, Beige and I were the usual suspects when it comes to sussing them out.

......and while you're at it get rid of the referees and just let 'em go at each other.
