I liked what i saw from Kane last night. Wasn't afraid to mix it in tight. Set a good standard for physicality and toughness which was only matched by Benny Mac. An excellent debut.

Thought Kane looked at home last night, no problems out there for him. Pause for a moment Kane, Hoskins, Burton, Godwin, Holmes for a start (there are some I've missed), and the success the schoolboys and 20s have had, I think things aren't all that bad for a non-rugby state with a small population etc.

As good as Kane's efforts were at the breakdown he made only a single tackle in 51 minutes.

Played 80 minutes: 3 tackles at 75%; 3 runs for 6m; 2 handling errors; 2 TO won.
Jake Schatz not much different: 2 tackles at 67%; 4 runs for 5m, 1 handling error. 1 TOW.
