    Refreshing referee

Good to see a young ref in a major nz clash showing that by referring the game and not trying to be The game aka Steve Walsh can add to exiting end to end game of rugby
Not intimidated by some big named players good for the game
All refs should take something from this young fella even if he has made a few suspect calls both ways he has let a tough contest go

I was also pleased to see the ref in the Chiefs game not overawed by the occasion and willing to give a try without going upstairs.

He even trusted his touchie with one call

You mean the muppet that let Owen Franks coathanger Elliot Dixon and then coathanger him again when he was on the deck observing all this from about 3 metre's away

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

You obviously didnt see Genias 'out on the full' from inside the 22 or the 2 knock ons that led to the scrum that allowed Qld to get a penalty try? Or Tets being penalised for Daley changing angle in the scrum and boring in on the hooker?

Good to see a ref let the players draw the line in the sand so if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time you shouldn't rely on the ref to bail you out
I didn't see him put his head in the wrong place again

A decision that could have been picked up by th AR and the TV official
Don't be wound up by the loss the force had more than enough ball to win can't blame the ref for that
Game tactics weak and leadership group weak

Too right SM I'm sure we can all find some shit calls in that performance, but it's better to save face and say we were shit and we deserved to lose that one.

Coz we were, and we did, and if the Ref had called all the ones we say he missed.......we still deserved to lose.

And congrats to the Reds who played very smart, adjusted well to the way the ref was looking for the game to be played and turned up ready to play rugby...three things that were lacking in our game this week.

Yes we did deserve to lose,.

Add the blatant not straight throw which lead to reds getting down to our line where the 10 or so Scrum resets lead to the penalty try and that is where the game really turned for mine. A sad day really.
