A warning to any player who wants to leave the Force

The curse of departing the Force continues for David Pocock. This is potentially a disaster for Aussie rugby, because his game against the Reds proved how much we have missed him. Michael Hooper was a distant memory.

Now Hooper enters the frame due to Pocock's dodgy legs again.

I'm no musculoskeletal expert but I feel sure that some of Pocock's problems are due to his shape. His upper body is huge; abnormally so. While you can work up the leg muscles all you like, you can't do anything about the tendons, bones and other tissues that they're attached to.

The human skeleton was never designed to take the huge upper body of someone like Pocock, or the huge amount of pressure he puts his lower body under when he plays rugby.

Much as I would really hate to lose him from rugby, I honestly believe that for the sake of the full life he still has ahead of him he needs to bow out of the game and stop punishing his body any longer.

i know what you mean, Alison. my upper body is oversized, so my legs have to cope with a lot. especially after adding $160 worth of alcohol!

I like that you're comparing your physique with that of David Pocock. I don't think he gets his from 375ml bicep curls

Based on when I saw him on Sunday, I would say that was just Saturday night.

BnB was "apparently" first to be cut off at the bar, so proud

Yes but Hodgo will be back in time to make a statement as well. Expect Gus Cottrell to put himself on the radar too.
