I'm not looking at the long term. I know how that goes, but I think it important that we have a better year next year, and the draw doesn't help that.

All I hope is that the boys recognize that they had it easy this year by comparison.

If they want to play finals they have to win consistently home and away. The draw shouldn't be an excuse.

3/8 on the road this year isn't exactly a pass mark.

Would love to get at least 9 wins again this year with one or two more on the road. Would be an improvement on this season without that unrealistic goals

It's good the NZ leg is condensed into one tour.

We HAVE to target at least ten.....in most of the recent years, that has been enough to play finals footy.

Agreed, past few years we've had to do two trips to NZ which isn't helpful when the Force already have the biggest travel schedule in the comp!

And a few more bonus points would be handy!

Highlanders and Chiefs both finished with 8 wins, 1 less than the Force this year and they played finals.

Some of the expansive stuff the Spirit has been showing at times might be worth inclusion into the Force next year. Some relief from the tonne of defence they put themselves through last season. It would be nice to give the team something extra on the scoreboard

Not overly concerned if we don't make finals again.
Few more 4 try BP's & more wins on the road would still be an improvement, even if we still only got 9 wins again.

I wasn't so much thinking of finals either Jono, but to improve in our match winning record mean putting ourselves well into the frame. Personally, I think that targeting finals is unwise, since (as you rightly said) there were teams in the finals who had fewer wins, so that's not a consistent measure of performance (until of course you are consistently in the top one or two) We should, however, be targeting more wins next year than this year....10 is only an improvement of one and therefore a VERY conservative number, but should get us over the line in all but the weirdest of circumstances.

Must be a Waratahs conspiracy to throw us off the scent of a Waratahs conspiracy.

Just looking at all the Oz teams and none do a trip to SA with a stop in Perth either way all have to come from the home state and they all get 2 single games in NZud ... As we get a 2 game tour as mentioned above...

A Quote from SMH All three conferences start in the same week in mid-February, and the Waratahs kick off their season with a Sunday afternoon home clash against the Western Force on February 15.

It will be one of two home games held in the popular 4pm timeslot. In a coup for NSW administrators, who struggled to capitalise on the benefits of afternoon football without commercially attractive opposition teams, the Waratahs will host the Brumbies in the second game on March 22.
