I wonder how long it will be until the IRB has to start setting International Fixture dates like FIFA

They already have. Unless your question is ironic of course.

Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!

Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?

My suggestion was more towards the fact that there is no domestic leagues played on a FIFA international match weekend.

Ah right, nah they've done the opposite. Tests only in designated test windows, otherwise clubs don't have to release players.

Talk about a toothless tiger though, the iRB doesn't even force clubs to release players for their own world cup!

I think the domestic league hiatus for FIFA came after clubs weren't releasing players for International games.

I remember the dramas Australia had from the early 2000's when wanting certain players to play for Socceroos that wouldn't be released by their clubs.

Found a page with some info on it if you want to go through it,

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_In...Match_Calendar

Sometimes Australia don't bother requesting the release of players in Europe when it's only a "Friendly" match.

You know, the IRB will have to do something like this, the new Euro Champions Cup is gonna cash up these teams exponentially; the game is in a fragile state.

Given the IRB's track record in terms of having clubs release players for their showpiece event I won't hold my breath

Possibly, or maybe the contract's water tight and boudjellal just thinks his lawyers are good enough to wear their opposite down and he can get away with murder.

    Stranger things would have happened.
