I'm interested in getting a bus group together to head to the Spirit game in Rockingham Sat 4 Oct with the game starting at 1530. Probably pick up and drop off from TWF sponsor JB O'Reillys. I'd envisage a couple of watering holes on the way down and back.

I'm not sure of any details just yet but am curious to see who would be interested.

Also, as I know nothing of the area are there any good pubs en route or in the general vicinity to attend?

2 closest pubs are: Whistling kite in secret harbour (expensive) and the Port Kennedy Tavern. location speaks for itself.
there is also the last drop, swinging pig, rocky hotel, Pink Duck. in rockingham.

on the way down there would be the gate, there is one in baldivis @ old end of the freeway i cant remember the name of.

There's also a new pub called The Quarie in Success on Russell Rd. Just off the Freeway. Supposed to be OK food. I'd avoid lunch at The Chase in Baldivis. Nice modern place but the food is disastrous IMO.

Some good places in Kampong Cham too. especially when they serve 1.5L jugs of beer.
