Tolu Latu comes in for injured TPN

    http://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/to...ce=twitterfeed

See, THIS is why I hate the Tahs and why I think the line about the Tahs win being great for national rugby in Australia is utter bullshit! It's just another excuse for more Tah bias in the national squad.

Who the f*ck is Latu? Would he be anywhere near the national squad if he wasn't a Tah?

If he gets selected ahead of Charles for that first test then I'll be REALLY annoyed.

Who else are they going to pick Alison?

    Let's break it down

    Brumbies
    Moore injured
    Siliva injured

    Rebels
    Shota no eligible
    Leafa available

    Reds
    Hanson is in
    Fainga available

    Force
    Charles is in
    Teesmann available

    Tahs
    TPN injured
    Latu available

So the only options are Fainga, Teesmann and Latu as leafa is the worst of the bunch.

Saia has been shown to not be upto standard.

Which leaves Tessmann and Latu Link has gone for Latu the youngster with a view for the future not really a big deal.

He will be lucky to be the reserve hocker in training and will be gone the second TPN is fit just relax.

If silvia was not injured I reckon he would have been a go but you are on the money gaffa. Latu was an age representative for Australia so is the next hooker available with an eye to the future. Sorry Alison no big conspiracy just link doing what link does

They can pick him for the squad, no problem with that. But it sounds like he's first frickin choice after TPN!! Like he's the next f*cking messiah. That's my issue. There's no conspiracy - it's clear ARU policy to pick a Tah whenever there is one with two legs and two arms available. I'm over it!! End of rant!!!!

We really need a good "Australia A" program, I think Tessman would've shone in that.

I'd say the starting spot for the Wallabies will be between Cheese and Hanson.

Latu will be there as cover and probably won't get much game time provided Charles and Hanson stay fit.

Like Sandgroper said, Latu is an age group representative (so yes he probably would be near the squad if he wasn't a Tah) and Link is probably looking to the future, and this way we don't need to see the rubbish that Fainga'a will dish up

Do you seriously think that the rookie Latu will be picked ahead of Charles or Hanson?

Remember also that Tessman is 30. Yes, the Wallabies should pick the best players, but if you are looking at the future, having a 21 year old in the squad makes more sense than a 30 year old. If (gods forbid) Cheese and Hanson both got injured, Tessman could come into the squad anyway.

Doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Of course not. But it's possible!

As I said before, the way Fox etc were portraying it, it sounded like Latu was literally coming in for TPN - as in Latu would take the Number 2 jersey. That's what angered me. If that's not the case, then fine. I just don't trust the ARU, that's all. The powder blue jersey smells of entitlement in a way none of the others do. In my (isolated) opinion.

Happy to admit that. But it's based on my perception of things over the years.
