    Pontyboy

    Hi,

I hail from Pontypridd in the Valleys of South Wales (originally, but moved around a lot within the UK since then), emigrated to Perth just over a year ago, so was chuffed to bits when they announced the S14 side would be here! Can't wait to see some top flight rugby again, and have Gold seats in block 106 just off the 22 I think - should be excellent!

    G'day Pontyboy,
Welcome aboard! You got tickets in the same block as meI got row HH - where abouts you end up? Might catch you in the members bar for a pre-match brew.

Here's to a stellar opening season of S14 football!

Welcome Pontyboy, hope you enjoy the site with us.
I'm unfortunately a block further towards the try line (107) but as Coach says I'm sure we'll run into each other pre game at some stage as I would think that would be the same Members Bar.
Not long to wait now, actually got myself fired up yesterday just thinking about them running out for the first match to the roar of the crowd!!!

    Smile Welcome Pontyboy

    Pontypridd!
Richie Collins, Paul John, Martyn Williams, Kevin Morgan, Gareth Wyatt, Dafydd James, Mike Griffiths, Geraint Lewis, Neil Jenkins, Michael Owen, Robert Sidoli, Mefin Davies, Gethin Jenkins, Sonny Parker, and Ceri Sweeney. Lot of big name Welsh stars there - shame about the Celtic Warriors being axed, still the guys will get a shot though the Blues.

    What position did/do you play?

Welcome Pontyboy and thanks for adding a bit of Welsh flair to the team!!

    Hi Ponty boy welcome aboard.

What do you reckon about this Saturdays game?

Coach - You thought about running an unofficial book with all the games coming up in the next month or so?

You could have odds on all sorts of things

$1.05 - Eddie Jones blames somebody else if the Wallabies lose
$1.10 - Fleet street crucifies the Southern Hemisphere teams as thugs beating up little angels.
$25.00 - The French capitulate in the firts half of every test. 3
$1.20 - The French stage a remarkable comeback in each test to lose by 1 point
$120.00 - Graham Henry smiles and laughs on tour.

... on the 6th day God played rugby and on the 7th day he rested, because he was sore and a little hungover.

Damn, I'm about to be caught out, errrr, ummmm, I'm a one eyed cycloptic supporter, played a bit at school, but I wasn't really any good, I can shout well though and have been known to lose my voice on regular occasions...

Rugby Union is the game for me
    Let join in chorus
For the men who came before us
    Brothers to the fore

We shall be the same men
We shall be the game men
We shall fight, for the right
Rugby Union shall be our game then

Who shall stain our fight for glory
Who shall mock our noble story
Keep these burning words before the
    Brothers to the fore

Pontyboy - these are the words to one the Joondalup Brothers anthems.
It obviously one of the 'Men of Harlech' versions butchered.
It was great song to sing in the changies or the bar after one our victories in the early days!!
No they have some mincey song about "the boys in the blue and the white
They win all the mauls and all of the rucks
The afet the game they get all of the......girls
    Up, down, round and round......"

Pathetic where has all the tradition gone in rugby, I ask you?
