Kieran Read to make return from concussion lay-off against Force on Friday night

The Crusaders have received a huge boost for their key Super Rugby clash with Western Force with skipper Kieran Read to return after six weeks.

The All Blacks No.8 and 2013 World Player of the Year has recovered from the concussion he suffered in the win over the Chiefs in mid-April.

He has also got over the cold that kept him sidelined from the Crusaders’ 32-30 win over the Highlanders in a thriller last weekend.

Read’s availability means Luke Whitelock goes to the bench.

The match in Christchurch on Friday night pits two teams with plenty to play for.

The Crusaders are the New Zealand conference leaders and sit third on the overall table, one place ahead of the Force.

Crusaders: Israel Dagg, Johnny McNicholl, Tom Taylor, Ryan Crotty, Nemani Nadolo, Colin Slade, Andy Ellis, Kieran Read (capt), Richie McCaw, Jordan Taufua, Sam Whitelock, Dominic Bird, Nepo Laulala, Ben Funnell, Tim Perry. Reserves: Nafi Tuitavake, Adam Whitelock, Willi Heinz, Luke Whitelock, Jimmy Tupou, Owen Franks, Wyatt Crockett, Corey Flynn.

Bugger, it's just got a little harder but I have faith that the boys can do it.

Pretty sure that monster winger Nemani Nadolo played for Paly 5 or 6 years ago as a 18 year old

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

Time for Stander to let us know what he's about.... I've been very impressed so far with his stats

With what I've seen of him, I bet he is relishing taking it to Keiran Read

    Go get 'em bull!

Think you're right. Played for Perth Spirit too. Think he was called Ratu Nasiganyavi (sp?). Wonder what the name change was all about.
