Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

To maintain interest in the lower grades where they have plenty of numbers but not neccesarily the quality to move up they have asked RugbyWA for the lowers grades to continue to earn competition points - ala Rockingham previously which set a precedent.
Which year(s) was that previously for Rocky, WT?

    Should have answered this earlier.
Last year Rockingham did not have Reserves and their lower grades were not forfeited.

    Thanks WT.

Would I be right in saying they are different scenarios under the competition rules?

There seems to be provisions for 'regrading teams' -for a board directed regrade, you retain competition points. I'm sure Rocky would argue that this was case for them and there also seems to be no requirement to field teams in 'consecutive grades' that I can see outlined (though my reading glasses may need a clean).

For a club directed/requested regrade, you lose the points gained up to that time.

For an 'on the day' forfeit, you must forfeit the lowest grade and up, otherwise the toys go out of the pram.

Is the 'club requested' regrade the scenario Wanneroo are facing?

Your glasses must be clean as Wanneroo fielded four teams last weekend ... the top two & the bottom two without a 3rd Grade, albeit apparently there was reasonable notice given this week ... perhaps Mr Henry can stir up some numbers for them ?!
