Another fine example of RugbyWA's regard to growing our game has emerged. A pal of mine from Wanneroo tells me that because they are struggling for numbers in 3rd Grade they are expecting to pull them completely. To maintain interest in the lower grades where they have plenty of numbers but not neccesarily the quality to move up they have asked RugbyWA for the lowers grades to continue to earn competition points - ala Rockingham previously which set a precedent. And the answer is, drum roll......NO. And their solution, another drum roll.....Contact the players who have not turned up. Brilliant. Why didn't the club think of that. Fools. What do you think they have been doing. Another forward thinking decision that will lose numbers to the game. Oh yes, Hans was at Wanneroo too supposedly checking them out. Or perhaps checking out future Nedlands juniors coaching possibilities.

Checking the grounds which will be the new Nedlands northern junior training facility, because a club member knows a bloke who has a kid in the area who might like to play rugby. Just looking after the members and all that.
