Hodgo managed to keep up the awesome stats throughout the remainder of the year

Most tackles - Matt Hodgson 217 (42 more than second place) - average of 11 per game.
Most turnovers - Matt Hodgson 26 (6 more than second place)

What a guy! ........Enjoy Mad Monday

From Vodacom Stats re missed tackles........

Top of pops is Rayno Benjamin (Cheetahs) with 33 Missed Tackles (Tackle Efficiency 76%)

Sias is No 13 in Super Rugby with 22 missed tackles. (Tackle efficiency 76%)

Hodgo No 17 with 20 missed (Tackle efficiency 92%)

Gus No 34 with 17 missed (Tackle efficiency 83%)

KBomb No 46 with 17 missed (TE 86%)

Nathan No 64 with 15 missed (TE 86%)

Wyksie No 68 with 14 missed (TE 84%)

Steenkamp No 93 with 14 missed (TE 84%)

Ben No 127 with 11 missed (TE 92%)

Pek No 137 with 11 missed (TE 89%)

Kyle (Unrated) with 9 missed (TE 92%)

Vodacom shows Hodgo making 217 tackles (SANZAR shows 234 - maybe that's total tackles?)

The closest to him from the Force is Ben at 120 tackles.

Maybe with nearly 100 tackles more than any other WF player Hodgo's entitled to miss a few.

Hodgo, Ben Mac and Kyle are our tackling machines with a tackling efficiency of 92%. (Same as Hooper)

The SANZAR site currently shows Hodgo with 50 tackles more than the next best (Warren Whitely - Lions, Nasi Manu - Highlanders & Shane Christie - Highlanders) and 66 more tackles than Michael Hooper (with about the same playing time)

PS Apologies Alison - misread my Pek stats before editing.

Those are amazing stats for Hodgo, Benny & Pek. Wonder how they compare to the incumbent Wallaby 7, 8 and 1?

I hear that Mad Monday became Sloppy Sunday so wishing all the team good recoveries today - especially after their 10hr return trip from Canberra via Sydney!

I was surprised by the Vodacom T/O stats for the WF:

    Hodgo - 26
    Gus - 9
    Cummo & Steenkamp - 8
    Rhino & KBomb - 7
    Ben - 6
    Morahan & Wyksie - 5

With Alcock injured for most of the year, I'm glad Hodgo was relatively injury free!!

Hooper No 39 with 17 missed tackles (TE 91%) [164 tackles made vs Hodgo's 217]

Palu No 186 with only 9 missed tackles (TE 90%) [80 tackles made vs Ben's 120]

The amazing stats (considering how much of the season he missed) were from Kyle....100 tackles made, only 9 missed (TE 92%)

Just for some more stats from Vodacom...Metres run/Carries/Av Carry/Tries:

Cummo - 815/98/8.3/7 (no surprises here!!)
    Jayden - 596/102/5.8/4
    Sias - 384/67/5.7/1
    Dane - 378/78/4.8/1
    Ben - 313/163/1.9/4
    Junior - 273/47/5.8/1
    Kyle - 261/87/3.0/1
    Luke - 250/36/6.9/2
    Hodgo - 213/133/1.6/6
    Zack - 196/48/4.1/1
    Sam - 182/100/1.8/-
    Angus - 176/84/2.1/1

We certainly missed the running of Kyle, Junior and Luke through injury!!
But great to see Dane H-P step up!!

Are our 37 tries this year a record? (only 26 last year)

mightve got 37 tries but we still won more games than two of the finalists and didnt make the cut so that is saying we are still not getting enought BP's (i.e. Tries) to be good enough for the finals... next year maybe? but they need to start believing in themselves to be able to win games by playing attacking rugby and not rely on our awesome defence. (much like they played in the second half against the Ponies on Friday)

The attachment shows a comparison between Hodgo, Hooper & Other No7s in Super XV in 2014:

    (All Stats from Vodacom App)

    Hooper's offense/running game is impressive.

Hodgo's passes brings others into the game and he has scored more tries.

Hodgo's defence is as we know it.

Australia fortunate to have 2 good No 7s.

PS...Yes I do have some time on my hands
