BRACHE STARTS AS FORCE READIES FOR WARATAHS

    WESTERN FORCE MEDIA RELEASE
    Thursday, 10 April 2014

Outside centre Marcel Brache earns his first opportunity in the starting line-up when the Western Force fronts the NSW Waratahs at the ‘Force Field’ (nib Stadium) this Saturday (12 April).

The Force returns home on the back of four successive victories looking for an improved performance against a Waratahs line-up that claimed the two sides’ opening match of the season, 43-21, in Sydney.

Brache, who has come off the bench in two matches for the Force this season, retains the outside centre role after replacing the injured Solomoni Rasolea – who fractured his wrist – during the Force’s 32-29 win over the Queensland Reds last weekend.

Brache’s inclusion is the only change to the Western Force starting line-up, while Chris Tuatara-Morrison is in line to make his Asteron Life Super Rugby debut after being named on the Western Australian reserves list.

Western Force Head Coach Michael Foley says his side is looking forward to the challenge of taking on one of the competition’s front-runners.

“We were extremely pleased with the result against the Reds – in particular seeing our whole bench close out the game after an enormous effort from the starting XV,” he said.

“Having said that, we acknowledge there were some areas of our game that need to be better if we’re to get the result this weekend.”

The Western Force vs The Wallabies (and one springbok).
I've been nervous about this game all week.. Will probably be a jittering mess at the 'force field' come Saturday evening.

Good to see Brache make the run on side. He filled in well last Saturday when he came on after Junior's injury. Michael Foley has the team performing consistently and as such has stuck with the team with the results on the board. Go Force!!!!!!!!!

As in the previous couple of games, win, lose or draw, I don't care if they play like we all know they can.
I believe they can do it and I'm damn sure they do too.
All we can do is turn up and make some noise! It will be interesting to see how many turn up this week!
    Go the !

If they didn't need anymore ammunition all bar one of the 'expert' tippers at Rugby Heaven, and of course GG himself, have tipped against the Tahs'Attachment 2851

Yay! That'll do me. Underestimate the Force & we know what happens! But I don't care win or lose cos we know how bloody well they're playing which is the most important bit and there's still long way to go in the season.

I love the way the Force is playing now, all guts. Awesome entertainment. Bloody heart stopping at times but this is the kind of rugby that makes you proud to be a member.
See you in Melbourne next week for number 6!

Have to agree Brache's defence was spot on. Between him and godwin there was no way through. Couple of mistakes at the start were forgiven. In attack he was bloody quick to chase kick ball, bit of space and he would be hard to catch.
