Force unveils front-of-jersey sponsors for 2014


The Western Force has thanked the Western Australian business community for supporting the club’s individual front-of-jersey sponsorship initiative for 2014.

All 23 jerseys have now been claimed, with the Western Australian Government recognised for their support regarding the redevelopment of the ‘Force Field’ (nib Stadium) with branding across the eight reserves jerseys for the 2014 season.

RugbyWA CEO Mark Sinderberry said he was delighted with Western Australia-based organisations wanting to be a part of the ground-breaking initiative.

“This initiative came about as a means of thinking outside the square to counter current challenges in the market,” he said.

“The result was yet another shining example of Western Australians wanting to support their own.

“As a proud Western Australian club, I’d like to thank these organisations, not only for their support, but for wanting to be a part of our club’s journey.

“We are determined to continue to reaffirm ourselves as a proud West Australian club, which will now be further exemplified by supporting these Western Australian brands on our jerseys as our team takes on the best clubs in world provincial rugby.”

Sinderberry said the support is recognition of the new direction for the Western Australian club.

“We are a club with a new strategic direction and an exciting road ahead,” he said. “The RugbyWA Board must be congratulated, not only for their direction up until this point, but also for their assistance in facilitating conversations with these locally-based businesses for this initiative.

“This is a continuation of a new and promising chapter for our club, and this financial support from our local community is critical to the club realising the success that we have set about to achieve.”

As a (35 years) expatriate NSWman, who is totally a Sandgroper with WA born and bred children and grandchildren now, I am starting to get a good feeling about WA companies getting on board. It's high time, but all good. Onward and upward.
