    Wallaby door open for O'Connor

Interesting words from McKenzie - And Foley

Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie says James O'Connor's inter- national future is in his own hands after the wayward star's announcement he was seeking absolution in time for next year's World Cup.

I didn't see the interview with Linc but was he being asked questions he wasn't prepared or willing to answer? In which case he just hedged his answers. And good on him!
I am still a JOC supporter but don't expect him back....but will hope!

Yeah, I really think that's a nothing story, we didn't learn anything new, so the reporter probably just asked some strategic questions to get a response.

At the end of the day
He wants to play for the Wallabies
He needs to play for an Aussie team to do so
He hasn't signed with any super rugby team
His best chance is the Force (not sure why at this point, since we have used up all our contract spots, nut we keep hearing that)
To win a contract with the Force, he needs to make some changes to his attitude and buy into team culture.

    Is any of that new?
    Do I miss anything?

Love him or hate him the fact is that James O'Connor has the ability to put points on the board and do so from any part of the paddock.

At the moment with the squad that we have got. I do not believe that anyone currently signed to the Force has that same ability.

I said it six months ago and I will keep on saying it. The Force need JOC.

Don't entirely disagree X. But I'm bloody sick of the endless speculation over his movements. If he comes - on the coaches' terms - fine. If not fine . Full loody stop.

Ehhh, maybe, maybe not. The problem is there is no way to know, as you can't replay the game to find out what effect he had. Last time around we won and lost games both with and without him, as did the Rebels. His presence or otherwise seemed far from definitive in either case, so the furtherest I'd go is that his presence will likely mean points for him. But I wouldn't rule out the possibility that it means less for the team overall as he goes for the individual points over the team effort.

Certainly well over the "will he, won't he" though. Little hint for all the journos - the team most likely to pick him up will be the one that collects injuries in the centres and outside backs. That knowledge was why he didn't lock himself into anything before scooting.

I don't know you jono or Nick but I did read the same story in The West and there was no hyphen. Maybe it had something to do with the website.
Do you like to play with hyphens in Brisbane.

Those days are behind me now bud
I'll try to stick to not doing a 180 on club rugby movements...
