I would love to have a look at the books to see what some of these players get paid. I went to Palmyra before christmas and they were saying that they had got Nathan Charles and some former Saracens player among other new recruits to the club.

Has someone in club rugby land won a power ball and kept it quiet from the rest of us.
No wonder my Mrs questions where all the money goes in junior rugby for registration fees and so on. Clearly to the older age groups

Your club doesn't do a financial statement at the AGM?

Peter M surely you would know that playing kit, insurances and general running cost's for juniors far exceeds that for which you would pay for your son to play.Get on the junior committee and find out

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

Those and insurances. Insurances are a huge percentage in all junior sport.

Rumour has it that a Joondalup senior official has accused other clubs of poaching Joondalup Junior players and coaches. In a very long aggressive letter addressed to the WAJRU( Western Australian Junior Rugby Union) the Joondalup official states that a certain person has been in contact with Joondalup players trying to convince then to move to another club.
After a bit of investigation it has now come to light that these players are actually ex championship winning players from other clubs that were poached a few years ago by Joondalup. These players now wants to return to their old clubs due to the grass not being as green as what was originally promised......

Further rumour has it that this week a Joondalup official has been at his old tricks contacting coaches( Major and Minor champions winning coaches) and players from other clubs trying to convince them to move from their current clubs to Joondalup.

So on the one hand Joondalup is accusing people of poaching current players but then on the other hand Joondalup is doing exactly the same but calls it recruitment..... It will be interesting to see how Joondalup officials now explains their actions or try to get out of this whole debacle by denying everything.
the title of this thread says it all......
