Balls up in air as Foley waits

This pretty much explains everything. Winston Stanley gone.

The James O'Connor saga and the delay by the Australian Rugby Union in deciding on a Wallabies "top-up" for winger Nick Cummins have forced Western Force coach Michael Foley into a recruitment juggling act and waiting game.

The article is inaccurate. We only need one more back. JOC would have been a luxury. If he doesn't sign, the spot should go to a backrower.

Apart from the Winston Stanley "link" with Highlanders - which I can't verify from any other reference - Super 15 site, Highlanders website, Otago Daily Times .....

Not sure about that James. We have Matt Hodgson, Chris Alcock, Ben McCalman, Angus Cottrell + Hugh McMeniman and Rory Walton who can both play there. IF he comes O'Connor is a straight swap for Stanley and the second spot is technically Cummins because he hasn't yet decided to resign. That leaves his spot open.
BTW my sauces also tell me Stanley has gone to the Highlanders

Has he been a Wallaby for the stipulated 2 years yet? You know, the two-year waiting time that applies to everyone except Folau

Because the ARU can apparently do what they want with Wallabies.

Assuming you want 2 players for each position, then it is. We have 2 scrumhalves, 2 fly-halves, 4 midfielders and 5 outside backs. The 6th outside back would be Cummins.

IMO Rory Walton does not have the mobility to play 6 or 8. Wykes and McMeniman do, but you would still want another backrower.

Lachy MaCaffarie will be with the Brumbies next year. Not Sure why we let him go he was a very good young player.

The ARU have this thing about having to be a Wallabies for 2 years to get a top up Hooper doesn't even have one.

Whilst people will say what about Falou the bloke it that good we couldn't afford to let him go. he has scored 7 tries that's more than half the tries he whole team has scored this year.

Cummins is good winger but he is only jus getting into the top 25 group with other players who are in and around the same level as him. He needs to stay injury free and play some rugby before he can expect a top up.

But it takes 15 men on a paddock to play the game no matter how bad they are Hooper has played excellent this yr as replacement for Pocock so really he should have go somthing for effort

Get rid of top ups performance bonus is better

That might be something. ARU members have a week after the game to vote 1-23 on the match day team? With a weighted percentage of the votes coming from a fox sports poll?

Wonder if people could let go of state bias to do this though.
