The competition rules say that the immutable consequences of playing an unregistered player are that the team which does so gains no competition points and the other team is awarded 5 points.

Hansie has admitted that Dellitt played two games for Nedlands whilst unregistered.

If Nedlands won both Dellitt games they lose 8,9 or10 points. If those games were againt Wests or Palmyra, Wests or Palmyra would gain an additional 5 points. Thus Nedlands would be reduced to third on the ladder in either case.

I am reviewing the game DVDs tonight, and Neddies may find themselves playing Wests on Sunday if I spot Mr. Dellitt in a certain game.....

How many times do I have to say this - it's not about EWF players - it's about compliance with the competition rules. You can't change the rules, you have to work within them. RugbyWA are ignoring the rules.

The players concerned were UNREGISTERED. The rules do not allow for dispensations for UNREGISTERED players. Now does everyone understand?

Not at all, I want to see as many people play the game in WA as possible. Pally is playing some great Rugby, they have a great coach, good players.

look if some vocal people want to rant and rave against people who are doing the absolute best for our game - go for it.

I notice in a previous post Fulvio was very scathing of Rugby WA over Rockingham breaking the competition rules and yet according to Fulvio that's O.K.

Seems this trammelling of community rugby finals by RugbyWA happens each year.

Taking the glass half full perspective (well meaning incompetence rather than dastardly plot) ... a simple adjustment to protocols would resolve this situation: no club can field more than one EWF (or whatever definition of seagull, specially dispensated etc etc player works) more than its opponent in any final round at any time during the match. This way a club with no ring-in will only face one amongst its opponent's players; those with one of their own on game day onlly two etc etc.

This might help RugbyWA overcome its apparent inability to spread the available players across the clubs ...and if the players really only want to play, then they will not mind either.

It's not about the players for the force its about fairness and a sense of playing the great game by the rules.
I think you are more interested in looking after vested interests than the game of rugby in this great state of WA.
