    Top 5 sporting brands?

    Our cannons are loaded and we’re aiming high. By 2020, The West Coast Pirates will be among the top five most recognised and respected Sporting Brands in Australia.

    I was just reading the Perth Pirates website and came across the above statement. I'm guessing they'll do well to be in the top 50 sporting brands, but what does everyone think the 5 most recognised sporting brands in Austalia are?

    I'll probably get booed off the site for saying this, but I reckon it'll probably be Manchester United, Arsenal, Red Bull Racing, McLaren F1 and New York Yankees

    Feel free to insert other big international sporting brands here.

    Even Eddie McGuire can't make an Australian sporting organisation get onto that list!

    Maybe you could consider how many women there are in the country and how many of them follow netball.
    I agree the cricket team are high profile with major following. But a "Brand"? What is it? How many know their current shirt sponsor without looking.
