Saw this amusing comment on tw: "Graeme Swann's night post-Agar catch: head home, put on baby seal slippers, eat Bambi curry and get in a Twitter fight with the Dalai Lama."

...to satisfy their taste for predictable mediocrity unchallenged by moments of utter astonishment or that rollercoaster sensation of a game that has the time and scope to ebb and flow. Exactly the thought running through my head as I watched.

A day like that, even though it still leaves us trailing, is exactly the sort of thing that makes Test cricket the pinnacle of the game.

What a start for Boof, great for Aussie cricket.

Agar shows Tomic, JOC, Kurtley, Quade how to behave and get the accolades. Keep your head young man, stay true to your principles and in 20 years time at 39 years old, be the greatest cricketer of all time and leave a fabulous legacy for your generation, kids and grandkids to enjoy.

Wouldn't surprise me if the ECB tried to con the ICC into appealing the Trott dismissal

And what a good catch it was. Pattinson and Starc have them under the pump ATM. Should be a riveting session after lunch.

What another excellent offering of test match cricket. Ian Bell has played the innings of his career to occupy the crease and score very vital runs from an England view point.

Shane Watson bowling spell has been tighter than a camels bum in a sandstorm. Ashton Agar unlucky not to have got a third wicket what a debut well done son
