That was the Lions strongest side they could put out. They have about 4 backs out injured, and the rest will be playing on Saturday. Surely they weren't gonna play BOD and co on a Tuesday before a test march.

I was upset at the time but seriously do you think we would have done a lot better with the team who played the Tah's?? It was a crappy week and lets move on. The Lions last night were the weakest team they have played on the tour so far - if the team that played us played the Brumbies my feeling is it would have been a completely different story!!

Not even a B team, I think people that don't mention how tremendously weak that Lions team was didn't watch the game or any of the preceding games and compare.

Sorry but I have a different opinion

Our match against the Lions is nothing but a practice match for the Lions as a lead up to the first Test Match in Brisbane. It means nothing.

Yes its an honor and a privilege yadda yadda yadda and it only happens once every 12 years. BIG WOOP. Win lose or draw our match meant nothing and from a statistical point it means even less.

If the British and Irish Lions wanted to take our match seriously - why did they have their first game in Hong Kong - when did Hong Kong become the first leg of the Australian Tour?

If the ARU wanted us or the British and Irish Lions to take this match more seriously they would have scheduled it for a better time.

The Western Force play in a Competition called Super Rugby, that is what we contract our players for. That is what our Sponsors pay us for.

I believe that the Western Force should give their best performance for each and every game they participate in, but, I strongly believe that priority must be given to the matches that count. And Our match against the Tahs was a Super Rugby Fixture as part of the 2013 Super Rugby Championship. The Fact that we are (and the Tahs) are not contending for the finals is irrelevant.

I'm with you Exile. The whole B&I Lions thing seems to only be important because the Poms tell us that it is, then spend the whole time whinging about whatever. If they don't darken our door ever again it would not upset me.

Yes it was a Lions B team. Would the Brumbies have beaten the side that played the Force, most likely not. In 10 years time all that people is going to remember is that the Brumbies were the only side that beat the Lions!

You all know I'm a proud Welshman but even I think the Lions are overrated, put the three SH teams together and play them, that's what I want to see.

You'd have to find a team from another planet who'd give them a run for its money.

Exactly. It was their second team but they are still all international players, playing against a team with 1 or 2 internationals so can take nothing away from the Brumbies.

The Lions are becoming more and more irrelevant and increasingly harder to fit into a busy domestic and international schedule. We will all enjoy the rugby, which will be top drawer and the ARU will enjoy the money. But the future of the Lions must be called into question , especially if they lose the series. It would be a shame if they vanished, but definately a possibility
