British and Irish Lions prop Cian Healy has been cited for allegedly biting the arm of Force halfback Brett Sheehan during the Lions' first game in Australia on Wednesday.
Healy will appear before ARU-appointed citing commissioner Freek Burger in Brisbane at 7.30pm on Thursday on a charge of acts contrary to good sportsmanship, a player may not bite an opponent.
Sheehan made the allegation to match referee Glen Jackson after being caught at the bottom of a ruck with Healy in the 17th minute.

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

Had a gold ticket and they put advertising screens all along the touchline and when the players were anywhere near the touchline all I could see was from the waist up.They won't get the chance to rip me off again. Was good to watch class though

From what i've heard there's little likelihood he will be charged due to insufficient evidence.

No, that's not right, it was the lack of a mouth guard that has provided sufficient evidence

I'm saying there seems to be no camera angle showing the "bite" but surly the appearance of teeth marks on a players arm would indicate that he was bitten, which the ref clearly saw when he was shown.

A smoking gun so to speak.

right, yeah, it'll be interesting. The replay i saw Sheehan clearly pushes the guy as he is getting up and gestures to his arm. Doesn't look like a fake.

on Sheehan, I did love him trying to push the Lions prop out of the way... he was such a bastard last night, and played like a man possessed!

When you're taking the tap on the 5 and the Lions weren't back on the goal line, ...

The Lions weren't going to be penalised for much last night, and they pretty soon realised it. However, I didn't think that they took too much advantage of it, just little stuff like lying the wrong side of the ruck, hands in the ruck, going round the maul, etc.

Healy (I think) did get pinged for hinging at the scrum when the ref couldn't over-look it, and as they broke up I could hear over the ref's mic the Force prop (Ma'afu?) saying "All f*cking night!"

ETA: Actually, I thought our scrum was remarkably good against a NH all-star front row. The Lions were rattled enough into an early engagement (and a couple the ref missed!), boring in, hinging, all the front row tricks to try and get an upper hand!

to tell you the truth I expected the Lions to dominate more and they just didn't.
I don't know if their heart wasn't in it or they were jet lagged or whatever but I expected the forwards, a tradional Lions strength, to dominate and they didn't.
Scrum was equalled if not beaten.
Breakdown was marginally in the Forces favour I thought. Haven't seen the stats but would expect the Force to have won an equal or greater number of turnovers.

Maybe it was just suprise and I remember them more.

The defence was crap but the Force left a good 15 points worth of easy penalties on the field by kicking for touch.

It should have been a cricket score and it wasn't.
If the Lions think their going to walk over the Wallabies based on that performance they need to step up a bit more.

I thought the forwards started slow and gained some momentum when they overcame their surprise at how fast and hard the game was going to be played.

The backs started on the back foot and walked backwards.

All in all, I'm pretty proud considering the team we played with and some of the reffing that was there (Stubbsy getting binned for sealing off when the lions had been doing it all night etc)

anyone else make it into the members bar?
    it was pretty nifty!
full strength beer (with no queue), great food selection, private toilets, great view, and had 2 tv's one with faux sports and the other with the origin!

    Excellent work force!

a few of my troupe wandered out to get some atmosphere, but I was happy in the warmth with a table full of fullstrengths!

oh, and they chucked out all the food for a fiver after the game, just what the doctor ordered!

(edit: where the hell did my image go!?)
