My Irish better half tells me we are going to get smashed! Any chance they are holding off team list to lull the lions into a false sense of security or am I clutching at straws?

Our 'B' team is great - we've seen them play plenty.
Our 'A' or 'B' team are both as (un)likely as each other to defeat the Lions.
On reflection, I don't think we actually have an 'A' and 'B' team - more like 2 'B+' teams.

A win against the 'tahs will lift us above the Rebels off the bottom of the Australian conference (assuming Brumbies df Rebels). This I'd like to see.

Personally, i'd rather see us roll the Tahds. I hate the Tahds and everything associated. The Lions game is an exhibition game for a bit of fundraising because Jon O'Neill fucked up the ARUs books. Bragging rights over the Tahds, full strength or not, is worth more than a 40pt loss to the Lions to me.

I agree with we you all! But what can you do? Foley has been bought in as a super 15 coach! His first priority is super 15.
The Lions have put out a team who could give the Wallabies a hiding!
I do think its disrespectful to both the Lions and us paying punters to put out an B team. We can only hope the Lions are suffering jet lag and who ever ends up playing is going to have us all asking why they haven't played before!

Heaps of bragging rights in beating a less then half strength Tahs side

At least no one will be watching on the East Coast

Very disappointing decision but not all bad if we get to see guys like CTM, McCaffrey and Manu get a run this season. It better not be ring in Sydney club players we have never heard of

Given the Tahs/Force can't roll out their/our Wallabies, why didn't we have the Tahs match on the Friday before the last Lions test? The following week is the last round of Super Rugby fixtures. That makes heaps more sense than our current situation.

Because the Tahs played the Crusaders last weekend. Moving their match to this weekend would have:
    a) given us an advantage (somethng the ARU don't want), and
    b) would have involved the Crusaders playing on the 'Australian teams only' round this weekend. The masterminds who come up with the SuperRugby schedules can't cope with that!

Yeah sure we'll just make sure to field our strongest side in 2025 huh? The one chance the Force has to showcase itself to a wider audience and we field a second-string side. If we get brutalised the history books will not show that it was a B team - it will just show that we got brutalised (and this game will actually be in the history books as opposed to the Tahs game).

I like the sounds of the team we are putting on the field! Some young guys sure, but they are all eager to show what they have. Foley is dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn’t. I will be behind the team no matter what the line up!
