If our best players don't play and we get embarrassed by the Lions, I will be mightily pissed off. The Waratahs means nothing. Less than nothing with half their team out through injury or Wallaby call ups.

The Force won't reveal their team for the clash until tomorrow, but based on their training this morning, it appears many of the Force's first-choice players will not play.

With a Super Rugby competition game four days later on Sunday, coach Michael Foley looks to have prioritised victory over the Tahs above piling his best players into Wednesday's night match in the hope of a giant-killing scalp.

Captain Matt Hodgson, who will be one of a handful to play both matches, said the selection of two teams to win two games was "a challenge" but echoed Sheehan's sentiments about giving the Lions a tough western welcome.

"Any loss will be a blow to them. They have probably come out and pencilled in victories in most of their games leading up to the Test match. If we can't get the win, we can hopefully get a solid performance and hopefully hurt a few of their bodies," Hodgson said.

"We see it as we're the underdog taking on a world class team."

But not many Force/lion shirts at $160! Strange that Lions shirts are only $120

I agree the fan open day was a great PR exercise

Picking a B team won't be. I haven't been this p1ssed since the mungoes ditched the magpies and the jets

I notice they are not announcing the team until the day before. I'm sure they have reasons but a spectator backlash can be expected if they run out a substandard team

If they run a B team out against the Lions, I'm staying home to watch the mungoes despite buying tickets and I won't be supporting this franchise anymore.

We had a chance to try and derail the Lions tour in their first game in Australia, instead we have rolled over and played stupid. Is there a common desire here within Australian Rugby to roll the Lions tour whenever we can? That is a big fat NO.

We only have 30 odd fit players with 22 in a match, do the maths. Most will get a run in some form or other in both games.

And to be totally honest to ourselves with that BL line up we would have our work cut to win no matter who took to the field, it is a world class international line up and a lot stronger than what they put out in HK

Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”

Couldn't agree more. They should have scheduled the Tahs match last Friday and our bye after the Lions. FFS!
