Any news on how Ma'afu went? What position did he play and did he dominate? Or cause a career ending injury to some poor under developed rugby player as has been suggested previously?

Salesi played pretty well. After a week of training he didn't quite have the game plan down pat but he worked hard and had a positive contribution. He played flanker for a half than moved to prop.
He also ran out for Joondalup last Saturday however he started at prop and played out the game. After both games he stayed until close at the club and was part of the after game festivities. He spent time with both opposition teams after the final whistle chatting and getting photos before heading in for the after game awards and festivities. There was a bumper crowd on hand at both games and they were treated to some good rugby.

Actually I saw the game and thought he was very unimpressive! Don't get me wrong, I think it's great what he's doing for Joondalup, but considering he's a professional rugby player playing in what is effectively 5th grade I would have thought he'd have much more of an impact. Maybe he was just taking it easy.

As many others have said before, what good is it having a player of his calibre playing at that level? Maybe so if he was going hard out... However it is obvious from your opinion that he wasn't going 100%, he was probably just looking for a bit of a run around with a team he feels close to and enjoys being involved with. It sounds like he is great for the club with his off field work. An article i found interesting that is in similar context to this thread can be found at the following link: http://twf.com.au/showthread.php?t=33149 - Enjoy

Where did that one come from - most of the Force guys I know who play for Metro Clubs here in Perth usually hang around for a beer and have good friends within the clubs with whom they socialise with. Top bunch of blokes ... well the ones I see anyway.
