Is C O'Y still involved in rugby WA in any capacity? His cool head could help give the back line some direction at the moment. And maybe teach them to think a bit before wasting possession.

And I've said this before but why the f**k don't we tap into the AFL cesspool in WA and poach a freaken kicking coach. Someone who can help the lads place kicks better, he might even help us be a bit more competitive against the high ball.

I used to think this would have happend on the DL right across the bloody country but i'm not so sure anymore... i think it needs to happen move overtly and rugbyWA poaches some of the coaches and support staff from AFL.
so we can tap into their knowledge and bite our thumbs at them in one hit.

two dads is still the only player in australia who can consistently compete under the high ball IMO. with genia close behind, but there is still saylight between them.
it does my head in that at super level - the force barely compete against the high ball in a 1-1 situation. and when we do we lose at it most of the time. let alone the wallabies can barely do it.

    sorry /rant

Maybe because AFL players are coached to hit players not find space

that was my point, they are trained to kick accuratley, and kick using the bounce. we've got a fantastic forward pack and we dont contest lineouts all that often. put the ball into touch behind them & contest the lineout. as opposed to gifting the posession to the opposistion every bloody time by kicking it straight to them anyway...

if we're going to persist in kicking, we as may well do it properly and apply pressure with it.

Sharpey went straight back to QLD to be nearer to his ex wife and children.

Naming 6 out of 115 odd doesn't help the argument.
