    Team culture

An interesting article in the context of the JOC thread the other day. (It was posted on TW by Paddy Dellit)

Interesting article. In the case of women's teams, it makes you wonder that as most of the sporting womens teams, actually have to work to fund their participation (rather than being paid to play sport as a full time job) if this impacts their attitudes. In that any mishap in their sporting career would reflect on their working career.
I know it's a generalisation as some males do work, and some women are paid to play sport however, generally, womens teams do have to fund themselves.

On a practical level, less money and downtime to get in trouble!

Agree Ely. You just have to look at the Mens and Women's cricket teams, the men are struggling and the women are on top of the world but we hear very little about the women but perhaps that works in their favour in the end.
