Yeah, 12K is pretty much a given in the first game of the year. I'd say that the two good efforts in a row is pretty much the first time in the team's history that we've done that, certainly we wouldn't have ever had three strong games in a row. I don't believe we've ever won our first home game of a season either.
A strong performance on Saturday night will go a long way to building some credibility for the club, but is by no means a fait accompli. I hope the boys have come home and done some good analysis on the things that went wrong in the Reds game. The biggest danger is to walk away from a match like that satisfied that You are on the right track and not put in the hard work required to back up the performance in the next game.
That would be a devastating result for the team, given that we've had two successive games showing a real commitment to the task and a dedication to performing well.
I hope Foley is as good as the last two games have made him appear!
If we win on saturday, I'll be looking for a nickname for him!
