“Everyone knows whether it’s rugby, politics or whatever, front-rowers should rule the world, so to have a hooker at the helm makes sense,” Nathan Charles Western Force & Wallabies Hooker.
One of the commentators also mentioned Kyle Godwin as being a possilbe future Wallaby as well
Based on the start of the season I would say our only potential wallabies would be Mafi, Godwin, MMM, Cottrell and Cowan. But based on the fact we are playing the Lions and there will be a lack of debutants picked I would say MMM is the main chance, with Cummins if he picks up some form.
Do you think Brownie could be a chance too BH? He's certainly working hard
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
If Alfie Mafi continues his current form they will have to pick him for the Wallabies regardless of who's in front of him.
Form should be the main criteria, then again wearing a Tahs jersey seems just as important regardless of form.
There are 3 types of people in this world, those that can count and those that can't

THE Western Force is preparing for life without star try-scorer Alfie Mafi, who PerthNow can reveal will be heading abroad at the end of the Super Rugby season.
Mafi has agreed to a lucrative contract with Japanese club Honda Heat.
Mafi has scored five tries for the Force this season and was joint top Super Rugby try scorer prior to being axed for last round's 41-7 thrashing by the Brumbies in Canberra. The wing was again not included in the squad for last night's clash against the Reds at nib Stadium.
This followed disciplinary breaches and a team decision to sideline Mafi, 24, who has represented Australia at U-19, U-20 and Sevens and was the Force's leading try-scorer last season.
So what did the silly bugger get up to?
It's got to be more than bunking out for a couple of beers. And will his new club tolerate it?
If its drink related though the Japanese have a culture of turning a blind eye.( used to. Don't know about now)
May the FORCE be with you!
Mafi has been released immediately according to Twitter (cheers Jono)

Alfie Mafi
The Emirates Western Force has released winger Alfie Mafi from the remainder of the winger’s contract with immediate effect.
The release relates to a number of infringements of team standards and disciplinary indiscretions.
Both parties have agreed that the release will provide Mafi with the opportunity to best prepare for his Japanese commitments later this year.
Mafi is in the final season of his two-year contract with the Force.
The 24-year-old was unavailable for selection against the Brumbies last week following a breach of internal standards. The matter did not involve any untoward behaviour involving the any member of the public or public property.
“This side has placed a very strong focus on its standards and earning respect as the foundations for the team culture,” RugbyWA CEO Mark Sinderberry said.
“Despite Alfie’s standing as one of the competition’s leading try-scorers, we will remain an organisation that is strongly committed to upholding its values and standards.
“We acknowledge the contribution Alfie has made to the team over the past three seasons and we wish him all the best for his future rugby endeavours.”
Mafi has played 38 Super Rugby matches for the Emirates Western Force between 2011 and 2013. He has played 54 Super Rugby matches in total.
