Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria, Sunday 2.05am (AEDT)
Last meeting: Round 10 2011 - Force 26 bt Bulls 21 at nib Stadium
    Head-to-head: Played 6 Bulls 3 Force 3
In Pretoria: Played 2 Bulls 1 Force 1
    Referee: Jason Jaftha (RSA)
    TV: Live, FoxSports 2
TAB Sportsbet: Bulls $1.08 Force $7.00

Steve Samuelson writes: The winless Force have led at halftime in both matches this season but crumbled in the second-half. With Bulls five-eighth Morne Steyn on song, the Force won’t be leading after 40 minutes in Pretoria - nor at fulltime.

AAP writes: Will this be the week we finally see South African playmaking recruit Sias Ebersohn start for the Western Force? Michael Foley could rue dropping him off the bench for the despairing 22-10 loss to the Southern Kings. Both Sam Christie and Kyle Godwin missed early goalkicks which cost them badly after the match turned in the second half.

Former Cheetah Ebersohn has a reliable boot which will be crucial against the Bulls. Still, the Force appear road-kill in Pretoria where Pierre Spies’ monster pack revels. The Bulls have made minor changes with flanker Dewald Potgieter and centre JJ Engelbrecht replaced. The Force were sloppy against the Kings and must, at the very least, muscle up and get the basics right.

BULLS: Zane Kirchner, Akona Ndungane/Sampie Mastriet, Lionel Mapoe, Wynand Olivier, Bjorn Basson, Morne Steyn, Francois Hougaard, Pierre Spies (capt), Arno Botha, Jacques Potgieter, Juandre Kruger, Flip van der Merwe, Werner Kruger, Chiliboy Ralepelle, Morne Mellett. Reserves: Willie Wepener, Frik Kirsten, Grant Hattingh, Jean Cook, Jano Vermaak, Louis Fouche, Jan Serfontein/Francois Ventef

    FORCE: TBA

    That one will do TFG.

As a matter of fact, I don't think it matters too much who plays. All that needs to happen is that they need to play 80 minutes of hard rugby.

They probably won't win it, so as long as they show some testicular fortitude, I'll be happy.

All I did is to get some mongrel with Brown, plug the hole around Stanley and inserted a kicker Who gives a shit if Sias is a weak defender or to lateral as long as he can keep the scoreboard rolling I will be smiling

I'd be tempted to go for a 5/2 split. I don't think we need a spare fly half on the bench as Godwin can cover. I'd put an extra loosie on the bench, its going to be very physical up front.

In 2007 the Force had a similar draw We beat the Bulls at Loftus 30-27 and came home beating the Sharks at Subi 22-12 Anything is possible and this bout is in out favour as we are the under dogss

Only difference is Cam Shep was on a roll and kicked us out of shit every game

not sure if Tessman is the solution at hooker, but I would seriously question cheese at 2. line out has been awful in both games - not sure if its throwing or calling tho.

I`d also have Cotterel in starting line up

Let's hope for an improved performance and a bonus point at least.
