Yep - chris' big bro Jason would walk straight into the Forces starting lineup at either 4,5,6.

Still to get a bloke of CE class once the seasons commenced is a coup for RWA and young Snowden will only benefit more from his current surroundings now.

FYI - Chris Eaton's within the top12 halfbacks in New Zealand and a very good Hawkes Bay lad.

It's a farking joke and another snub to the local competition and the "academy". What benefit is there in signing a has-been / he-never-was washed up, kiwi belter to warm the pine for 3 games. A rookie can warm the pine, participate in team training and maybe get a few minutes of game time at the highest level. If our main man goes down, he gets the real McCoy and there is no better way to learn. If the kid was contracted, he should be good enough to play in the big league.

A retrograde signing of futility and a lost opportunity to develop our generation next. Also a snub to the local comp which needs to be grown.

I couldn't give a sh1t if he is a Hawks Bay lad. I couldn't give a sh1t if he is in the top 12 NZ half backs. There is no benefit to West Australian rugby at all.

The bloke who signed him should be fired immediately.

It is myopic, introspective, paranoid, pointless, retrograde and stupid.

It is time to stop signing washed up kiwis and either get an up and coming Australian lad or give the locals a go.

When you have a good young lad sitting on the pine, it is extremely demotiviating for him to have some washed up has-been with no team loyalty shown the red carpet into the match day 22

Desperation measure. Despite all the promises of rebuilding, two defeats have them running scared. Short term ism means eventual death

Fark me, its pro footy. A lot of words for a simplistic view of a S15 club.

Fark people are in the wrong rugby community if they don't like Kiwis.

If Alby broke down we're farked......I didn't pay a membership to see a Perth club player get the most farken touches of the footy in a Super game.........they put in the hard farken yards like K Goodwin has!!

I agree BUT the horse has already bolted - I'm sorry but Snowden should not have been signed in the first place, there are two academy 9s (Cott n PB) the 3rd HB spot could've been filled with.

Ryan Louwrens from the academy and Cott would've been a better option. We already have enough second hand players who come for the beaches, paycheque and twitter conversations. Why not a hungry local player who deserves a chance instead of more recycled almost rans?
The best 3 players for the Force so far this year have been Godwin, Cottrel and Faulkner. 3 guys who played club footy in Perth last year.
Just goes to show that the RWA people in charge of development and recruitment are buffoons.
Seriously, Dwayne Nester has been there since 06 and has produced 1 player (Godwin) in 7 years. Something is seriously wrong in the academy if this is all it can produce. 1 Player every 7 years means it will take 105 years to produce a WA grown team. Funding isn't the problem, the coaching is the problem.
RWA, local players are hungrier and more deserving of a go at the higher level than some of our current players. GIVE THEM A GO FOR GOD'S SAKE.

These five played S15 on the weekend; all had involvement with Dwayne Nestor & Co in the Rugby WA Academy.

    Luke Jones 5. Rebels
    James O’Connor 15. Rebels
    Paul Alo-Emile 17. Rebels
    Siliva Siliva 16. ACT
    Sitaleki Timani 4. Tahs

Zack Holmes and Kyle Goodwin are the only two Perth Natives I’m aware of playing S15. Oliver Hoskins & Bradley Lacey aren’t far off from S15 and Luke Burton hot on their tails. Ryan Louwrens and Ethan Carlisle are also close.

This is where Foley and Co have completely pissed on WA Rugby and given me the shits; is by signing Snowden for two years over Ryan Louwrens or Ethan Carlisle. Ryan and Ethan are as good if not better half backs than a 25yr old eastern stater who played his first year of 1st grade in 2012.

This signing doesn’t make sense to me……

A part from the Academy guys mentioned and a few others not quite of age there isn’t many club options coming out of WA Rugby – Accept a heap of ex Kiwi NPC players (Who are not washed up, just not Super players)

It’s not the JETSONS where Nestor can take a little cube, put it in a machine and produce an elite athlete.

Hey, if some of you think the Force bring in outsiders far too often over locals, look at our premier grade clubs, they’re even worse. Just because they're wearing a Perth club jersey doesn't mean they're West Aust but probably F.O.B

I would have to agree, take the kicking pressure from Kyle for a bit and let him get a bit of running confidence up. Cottrel has just about filled the void David left in the back row, and neither Salisi will get a look in while Faulkner is improving, keep it up fellas
