WTF?
No-one seems too sure of the details at the moment, so it could be a hoax/mis-reporting, but parts of SA it's not unusual for home-owners to be armed in case of intruders.
A tragedy of truly horrible proportions. My thoughts go out to him and to their friends and family.
I feel so sad that SA has become so violent and dangerous a place that people need to arm themselves as well as surround their homes with state-of-the-art security systems the likes of which we probably only ever see around prisons here.

Reports have stated they had an argument and he stormed off to the pub, coming home hours later legless, and shot her.
