I could rant and rave about this all day!
The grammar is fucking horrific. he needs to go back and finish year 9 before ever putting pen to paper in the future. Id love to sit down and red pen this article. To publish something, under the company name of Fox, Id certainly hope that whomever checks this shit is fired.
It uses childish language reserved for twitter and toilet walls.
It fails to indicate any respect towards any team. The Rebels have a half dozen players we can all respect, we can all see strengths in, its a team sport. To spend 30% of the article blowing on about James Oconnor and Beale, is just disgraceful.
As a sports "journalist" your job is to report, youre allowed to put puns, jokes, stabs and jabs into satirical writing, but to single out several players you do not know anything about, is just childish and shows a great failing in his knowledge base. As already said, I cant sing Battyes praises enough, his workload is sensational, and while his lineout skills are still improving, he is a solid performer when hes strapped into his red head gear. And for a 'professional' writer to state "whose heard of Chris Alcock" is again, saddening. As a 'professional' its your job to know who he is, and to use your knowledge to make a comedic gesture, not to put someone down because you are too 'thick' to do your research.
Rugby is a game built around respect. This article was void of any and all respect. Even in the effort to big note Beale and JOC (and later QC) he actually paints them in a derelict light. If the enemy of my enemy is my friend, then the idol of a dickweed is a dickweed.

I'd bet London to a brick that one of the 2 full time Fox presenters has tendered this article as a wind-up without the responsibility of having written. it Seems to have worked a treat.
