I heard RWA are also offering a strength and conditioning course for 1 or 2 nominated people per club free of charge aswell. It's another great initiative along with that above and the comp restructure that will help local players reach the next level. Things are really starting to happen at all levels not just professional.

Now, a replacement for Britannia for the juniors will be needed soon since they'll have 3 less pitches there this year ......

Not 100% correct the town of Vincent is looking at upgrading Britannia but currently there are no immediate plans to reduce the number of fields, The WAJRU is part of the work group involved with the re-development plans. We are however looking at different options for 2014 and have created a sub-committee that will look at all options available to accommodate the growth we have been experiencing in 2012 and also expecting for 2013. Currently we will be using home carnivals to ease the pressure at Britannia.
We hope to give each junior club the opportunity to host at least 1 home carnival. Finals will also as in recent year be hosted at a club, in 2013 it will most probably be a Southern Club.

Still doesn't negate the fact more fields and parking availability is desperately needed. There is no room for warming up before games and last season some games started as late as 1:15 pm which killed any chance of being able to get to see/be involved in U/18s, U/20s or even 2nd grade. More grounds in a central location with more parking is what's required longterm. Splitting teams and grades to host carnivals will ease congestion but wont fix the problem of 1 child playing in Rockingham at 9:30 and 1 playing in Britannia at 10:30 with only one family car. This needs a view to what's required in 7-12 years not a season to season view.
