It does make you think if this could start a trend, with 7s teams recruiting sprinters with no rugby experience. With 15s this would invariably end in failboat tears, but with 7s when out & out pace is enough for someone to excel, then it's definitely something that could happen. You can't really defend against it in 7s, whereas in 15s there are defensive tactics you can use to nullify a speed merchant.
