These are the best that I have, taken by Mrs KQ who was nursing Little Miss KQ at the time while I stood in the "E" of "Perth".

I still have the "Super 14 for Perth" T-shirt that I bought at that rally.

Well that is pretty much that then. Such an awful shame.

Thanks must be given to everyone who has fought so very hard to keep us going over the years. It has not been easy but it has been worthwhile. Look at where so many youngesters who were lucky enough to get to travel the pathway to professional rugby have ended up. Of the ones I knew as kids my Ollie is loving life in the UK and going from strength to strength (literally!), Nick Haining is now into his 4th year playing professionally over there and Ryan Hodson has only just retired to put his studies to good use after many years. There is Zach Holmes who is just amazing, Dane and Ross (need I say more), Luke Burton, Richard our latest Wallaby and the gorgeous, talented Kyle .... and those are only the ones that I know personally, there are many many more. There have been other opportunities too for our family too, Tobias has had a wonderful career with Rugby WA and The Force as well as playing for a year overseas.

My only hope now is that some how, some way, the up and coming talent pool in WA gets some real opportunities to develop and experience the wonderful things these guys have. It is so very sad to think it was just going to be available to those guys that were lucky enough to be developing as the Force was around.

THank you also to Mark Sinderberry, John Edwards, Geoff Stooke, Hansie and any one else, including of course Twiggy, for all they have done and all they continue to do to fight the good fight. Who knows stranger things have happened but for now I can now cancel my subscription to the awful cable TV over here in KL as the only thing it broadcasts worth anything was the Force games. I will miss my Friday evenings/Saturday afternoons on Changkat watching them play, although of course I will continue to watch all the boys as they go onto their next challenges with great pride and huge excitement.

I am so happy I got to attend my last Force match with Ollie back in June and see how warmly he was welcomed and how interested everyone was in his progress and how encouraging they were. Thank you Sea of Blue.

    Jen

Thanks Jen. Your post gave me an idea. One or a group of the English clubs should setup a pathway for WA players to join their comp. With the way players like Meakes and Holmes and now Ollie have developed better overseas, it sounds like a better path then Oz and the current setup, where you go backwards In performance. They've probably got more chance of being selected for the wallabies anyway (except f they played for the Tahs).
