On a serious note, two reasons for non-return would be serious injury (long term) and playing well enough to receive a too good to refuse offer form offshore (a long shot).

Yep. Holmes contract was short term but Turner's runs out this year too. Sheehan signed for another year. All hypothetical I guess until we see if Mathewson signs. The West only says they are talking.
I thought Holmes was in the middle of a 2 year deal in France. He couldn't sign because he is already contracted. I'm a Turner fan but his injuries are a major problem.

We still don't have a marquee player and we can have one more development player. Plenty of scope for NZ super players to be signed for a spot or two.

we can have a total of 3 players from out side of aus. be that 3 development players or 2 development and 1 marquee.
We already have Sais on 1 of the Development contracts which means we have 2 spots left. which could be 1 development and 1 marquee or both development.
