I don't give a rats who it is - if we find a player that is only interested in signing if he is the captain, we should immediately tell him to go do something indecent with a dead dog! The absolute last thing we need are prima donnas with tickets on themselves. That is not relaunching the team; that is repeating all our past mistakes. The captaincy is not a commodity and it should only be available to someone that has shown unswerving commitment to the team, to WA and who has earned the respect of players and fans alike. That is without question the bloke that has it now and he deserves far better than to suggest he is just a fill-in.

I'm almost scared to get a bit moist and excited. I know it's only talk but it's good talk. Hodgo deserves to be captain and if we can get an attacking coach who understands running hard onto a pass into space then we have a chance. We have a pack that can set up the platform so we don't have to kick every fukn time. Let Kyle loose and see what happens!!

I don't know why this idea of Fullback being a safe stepping stone to Flyhalf ever gained traction.
Sure Bernie made a great argument, but to take a development #10 from the security of a player on either shoulder and drop them into arguably the most isolated and testing defensive position is pretty dumb for mine.

Moving ahead... Two things that have been learnt today thru the press conference -

-Mulvs is not a given in coming back to the Force

-Looks like they wanna keep the captain carrot dangling for possible recruitment.

Along with big Vic showing up at HQ & Phil "Boo hoo for you" Kearns claims that Foley very recently went to the NSW board and told them he only wanted to be an assistant coach! A de-motion of sorts.

Fu*k me I hope that's not true!

Supporting this club is certainly a roller coaster of a ride!

The Captaincy of the team should not be a carrott to lure a player.

The Captain should be about who is the best Leader of the team, the person that can influence and support the culture, inspire the players, has credibility and demands sacrifice from the players & team through their actions on the field.

To me, Hodgo ticks all the box's. Why devalue the Captaincy by giving to someone who hasn't earned it.

Anyway, who the f*ck signs a Contract on the basis of being Captain.
