Probably right. I questioned at the time this happened.........

Mining magnate Andrew "Twiggy" Forrest has emerged as the mystery man behind Souths' bid for Greg Inglis...................Forrest has offered Inglis more than $100,000 a year to act as an ambassador for GenerationOne, his campaign designed to encourage employers across the country to offer jobs to indigenous people.

........................why one of the Force's most prominent supporters and one time captain of Hale's First XV would do that.

Kurtley Beale would have been a great fit in a sea blue 10 jersey. With his education and public speaking savvy he could have made a fatastic go of that job. Greg Inglis, outstanding athlete that he is, just does not have the same skillset off the field.

Nick Phipps rarely has a bad game & I thought he was outstanding against the saders, wouldn't mind seeing him in the Wallabies no.9 jersey at some point, keep Will on his toes

The info was published in the WA press. Do a search if you want. The journo was Mark Duffield IIRC. What's your point anyway?

"In some recent articles in The West, most notably in an extended cover piece by chief reporter Mark Drummond, the paper has gone to some lengths to tell us how Forrest – during his two years at Hale (1978 and 1979) – was a school prefect, a house captain, a member of the first XV rugby team, an interschool athlete and swimmer and, finally, a member of the school’s debating team."

Hookers don't get to be captain in Hale's 1st XV, if memory serves me it could have been Tim Lorian, or David Osborn(e) in 1979. Maybe Andrew was captain for one of the the old boys matches.
