My goodness, I do hope that is not the Brumbies coach publicly stating that they intend to facilitate non-financial arrangements between players and sponsors....

Nice idea to have a principle sponsor as a partner... Students, graduates, players as students it all could work nicely... College Football rugby style... Both parties could be winners here... Its worth a good shot and could end up being a OZ Rugby establishment...

Sydney Uni do rugby but its all shute shield level... take that and make it Super Rugby and it could go off like a bottle of bubbles at a hens night...

Nice shot, but no firepower in that statement... poor aim james... just hasn't happened... However I do except to see a few young promising Republicans in Brumbyland over the coming years... and NZers I might add... jeez this could really open up things for the recruiting department, they may have to employ additional staff.... Education lasts, rugby is but a decade if a player is lucky...

Look I also think the Brumbies is gay but you can imagine if this whole thing of luring South African players to come and study and play rugby in Canberra works.
Jake White is not just a coach he is a mastermind strategist

Q:The union's ACT secretary Stephen Darwin said, ''Professor Parker has to assure the staff and students of the University that public funding intended for teaching and research is not being redirected to a sporting sponsorship that is unprecedented in Australia.''

A:Professor Parker said, ''I can assure our students and staff that no resources will be diverted from teaching, research, campus infrastructure or any other academic activity or support service as a result of this partnership. There are only positives to this partnership for the University of Canberra community.''

Didn't really answer the question there Prof, it was about public funding really...

No, you are right of course - after all, they openly admitted that third party arrangements with club sponsors were made in advance of signing Giteau for his glorious return and the ARU didn't even blink. No reason to think the protocols will apply any more now than then....

Stephen Darwin is a nobody and isn't entitled to read confidential agreements...

You need to read what has been said... Offers of opportunity... not Firepower CEo Coach deals with shadow-men sponsors who rip off the Perth public to the tune of 40 + million...

What has Perth and Firepower got to do with Canberra and the University of Canberra - are you drawing parallels?

One of the things that the Force were fined for back in the day was "offering third party benefits to induce a player to sign". I would have said taking sponsors with you on recruitment trips would have to be just about be the dictionary definition...
