The Cheetahs won 3 in a row and it did nothing for them...

Yeah. Super Rugby is a step up from Currie Cup and squad depth will be a biggie. The Lions are moving in the right direction though. It's much easier to recruit and retain when you have a couple of runs on the board.

I reckon the South African pecking order will be: Stormers, Sharks, Lions, Bulls, Cheetahs.

    JM

Just watched the Game Lions V sharks
Well again JM getting a bunch of nobodies and turns them into a winning team...

I look back now and think the politics and crap that happened at the EWF was not JMs fault I think the Managemant wanted to bring the pony club to WA against JMs will and as we all know those show ponies did not really preform for the force
Well its is sad to say but I think we lost a good coach and gee I cant wait for the Super 15 season to start and the game on the 26 june when we take on the lions at NIB

I was really sorry to see JM leave and I am really please he finally gets to show his true colours with a winning team when left alone to do a job...

I also could see why the kicking was so good in the game Elton Janjitis is coached by Carlos spencer who did want to come to WA but was told he was not wanted by EWF management

Well said Tonka "Good on JM"
Just goes to show if a coach is aloud to coach see what he can do. I was always a JM fan an pissed at the way he was treated while here. Now he's proving that he can turn a bunch of nobodies into something good.
There may be a difference between Super 15 and Currie cup but that game was won by passion and determination. A good coach installs that into his players when he is aloud to kick ass when it needs to be kicked instead of players having hissy fits because they get told off.
Well done JM. and the Lions

Great to see super coach Mitchell with a group of go getters in a culture that admires hard rugby. Great season Mitch

I was embarrassed for him to have to coach the boy band at the Farce

It was admirable that he apologised to the committee for being demanding and for pushing them a little bit..........but ridiculous.

watch out for the rise and rise of the Lions
