Gitz was once touted "the best player in a decade and beyond"....what happened to him, will anyone remember his name even is a few short months after the RWC??? .....and if Brad Thorn hadn't been so selfish..that would have been a certain try for the 'Saders....

    Ifs...buts.....Hmmmm!!!

To go down as one of the most capped wallabies, Giteau is held in much higher esteem on the east coast then he is on the west..

Quade Copper may not be the best player in the world but perhaps the most feared in attack could be a fair call... he wisely didn't over play his hand on the weekend which made it harder for the Crusaders. Genia got to run 65 metres because they had one eye on QC... he’s still really young and could get better. Working on his goal kicking would be a start.

I don't know about that. There seems to be plenty enough of Giteau haters over east. I think people here are just apathetic about Giteau now.

Yes plenty of QLDers hate him for his kick at goal after full-time to deny QLD a bonus point...

Whilst he may be disliked, there is still a strong level of respect, similar to any good player running around the competition from other teams.

He was best on field for the second half of the brumbiea season

Personal opinion is that he is a great player in his own right, but very individual. My concern come Wallabies time is whether he can relinquish the play-maker role and sing off the team sheet, or whether we wind up with him and Cooper running around at cross-purposes. Throw another couple of individually brilliant players like JO'C and Beale into the mix and it could be a real collection of headless chickens...

He is a great player and certainly worthy of Wallaby selection. Though, recently he seems to have lost some of his firepower.
