You would be right TQ1 - Just heading back to Canberra itself for Dinner

I agree with you James, especially with a couple of Penalties that went to the Brumbies and Sharpie pinched the lineout throw. Great effort by the big fella!

    Who was the official MOM?
I THOUGHT IT WAS OFFICIAL SHARPIE!!! Who else could it have possibly been???

And what about Brett Sheehan, again another brilliant performance, his in the face defense made Valentine look second rate, along with Sharpie the catalyst for our win

Smith looked like the cat that got the cream after each of his tries. His second one was a very confident teamwork try. Thought Sheehan was good, Sharpe's lineout steals were gems. Good to see Longbottom getting quality gametime too

JOC was official MOM according to ABC news, he played OK but was not MOM in my view, it should have been Sharpie. Who decides these things?

Nervous/tentative game from both sides. Plenty of sloppy turnover play particularly in the second half..but what the feck, we WON!

First half was frustrating though. Confidence in attack grew as the game went on. Dellit had a good debut at fullback. Sidey was pretty solid defensively in the centres. Jono and tevita were solid. These young guys need more time on the pitch. Be good for the organization.
Apart from Ripia kicking too much in the first half his passing game was mint. Commentators criticized his cut out pass to JOC that helped set up Smith but didnt see anything wrong with it. Same with the short ball to setup Smiths second try. More of this willl do "all" the backs wonders.....like SCORE TRIES! I think the Brumbies felt defensively ripia might be a bit soft and was a target early.
I didnt think JOC was as great as everybody made out. Was solid in defense but some of his tactical kicking was a bit meh. Should be using him as a dummy runner more often to help open up the other backs. It was too obvious early we wanted the ball in his hands and subsequently he got cleaned up a couple times even when we set up decoy runners for him.Mix it up a bit more will create oppurtunities otherwise it just felt we were forcing it thru JOC or just fed him the ball and stand back hoping he'll pull off a miracle play.
Big Mack made some huge hits early in the game and was the standout loose forward again. Sharpey MY CAPTAIN!!!! LEGEND!
Whats up with Pek and his brain farts??? His habit of infringing at the worst moments is wearing a bit thin. After starting strong Whitiker was clearly getting fatigued and got yanked at the right time. I hope the coaching staff start having a bit more faith with the guys on the bench and actually use them more when the regulars come back from injury. Its been one of my biggest grievences with the coaching staff in that they had refused to rotate the entire 22 as part of the gameplan which might explain why we have this tendency to fade out and come second at the finish line so often. The top teams are utilizing their entire 22. How else are we supposed to biuld depth unless we're forced to through injuries.
Anyways it was messy but ill take a win any way we can manage it!
