Following the massive 86-0 victory over ARS newcomers, the Tassie Jack Jumpers, the only change to the Perth Gold 22 Man Squad this week has come from the return of Ritchie Wild from a Round 1 injury to replace Will Brock, who has a shoulder issue.
The Melbourne Axemen have had a successful campaign so far but, as with Perth Gold, are yet to be tested against strong opposition.
With points advantage, Perth must at least draw on Saturday to ensure the vital home advantage for the Semi Finals on the 27th of May.
The Victorians will be certainly looking for some form of payback as this will be the first encounter between the States since the announcement for the location of Australia's fourth Super 14 Franchise.
The Victorian Rugby Union should be congratulated for trying admirably to make a feature of the fixture with an impressive line up of curtain raisers:

6.15-6.45pm Under 8s/10s Pathway Matches
U8s (Walla): Harlequin v Power Hse;Wynd City v Northern
U10s (Mini): Harlequin v Power Hse
4 45pm: 1st Gr: Harlequin v Geelong
3.05pm: 2nd Gr: Harlequin v Geelong
1.30pm: 3rd Gr: Harlequin v Power Hse Black

Good luck to the Perth lads in continuing their unbeaten run of nine matches undefeated!
