    They use the radios now instead of raising their flag. Most of the time it will be for a knock on the ref has missed, or offside.

    But yea if forward passes are being missed it would make sense to alert the officials before round 6.

    The AR would only raise a flag (to the horizontal) to signal foul play, not to assist the ref with offsides, forward passes etc. These things are conveyed via the radio mike system.

    (for those of us with Sports Ears at the Sharks game you will have heard a lot of AR chatter but Our Keith ignoring pretty much all of it)
