Australian Team of The Week 2

My predictions for team of the week. No doubt rugbyheaven will just name the entire Tahds team. Hopefully the foreigners are allowed to be named. I believe Braid did last year. Lipmann was outstanding.

    1 Benn Robinson
    2 Tatafu Polota Nau
3 Sekope Kepu (wasnt any other props that stood out)
    4 Adam Byrnes
    5 Kane Douglas
    6 Dave Dennis
    7 Michael Lipmann otherwise waugh
    8 Gareth Delve otherwise Mowen
    9 Luke Burgess
    10 Danny Cipriani otherwise gits
    11 Drew Mitchell
    12 Julian Huxley
    13 Rob Horne
14 Pat McCabe the Human Crash Test Dummy (yes he was FB but had too good a game to leave out)
    15 Mark Gerrard

I would have actually picked McCabe ahead of Gerrard, mainly (though not entirely) because I just love the site of a Fullback (any player for that matter) prepared to run the ball back hard without the Benji Marshall crap.

They weren't good, but most of the mobs who publish this really only look at wins, and limited stats. I assume that's how rob horne gets a gig over Adam Ashley-Cooper who was a wrecking ball all night.

I also didn't think tuna stood out, lachie turner, Frankie fainifo and digby ioane have reason to be quizzical.

I picked Horne over AAC. defensively Horne was huge. Him and tpn were like demons.

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
