Team selected with sky blue eyes
Pocock was one of the best players for the entire super 15 let alone the Australian teams
There was a reason Quade Cooper wasn't sighted in the game.

Well it has started again - Sydney press getting moist about the Tahs beating up on a bunch of Golden Oldies

Barnes?? not Rabbit? Waugh not Pocock?? Palmer not Fairbrother??

This is why I stick to the one eyed yet balanced coverage on the TWF site

not so sure about Robbie Horne either, remember Adam Ashley-Cooper was wearing 13 this week, he was far better.

Berrick didn't need to do anything in his game, and Gits was his typical self (not involved in any movement that scored a try) unusually Quade was in the same boat.

Bam for best #7 of the week, he was warned all night, but only gave away one penalty (IIRR) It's hard not to put Hodgeo in there as well, he had another whale of a game, and apart from Horwill, there wasn't anybody close.

I thought Bam was penalised a couple of times at least. Thought he was the main reason the team warning was given and Hodgo wore the yellow card - very unlucky. That was the turning point. But you want them playing right on the limit. Even McCaw copped many penalties and quite a few cards last season so maybe the jig's up for the really good'ns under the new interpretations. They'll just have to adjust.

Browny was MVP for mine. Blinder.

Tim Fairbrother and Pek Cowan did us proud. How many tonnes were the Red's scrum compared to ours? Wolfman did well in the engine room, Shep had some blunders and some blinders, but you have to give it to the 3 in the back row, their tackling and ability to either dislodge or tie the ball to the ball carrier was superb.

Masterstroke by Graham, subbing Tim with Kieran, and then Pek with Tim....

I also thought Sheehan was the more effective halfback of all the teams.. certainly was getting quick ball to OConnor and the carriers and his baiting of Chambers was worth MOM for me

I thought Ben McCalmans selection at Second Rower was a revelation and a credit to our new Super Coach Richard Graham.

Having 4 Loose Forwards on the park at once combined with Sharpes continued busting of the line in attack shut down the Wallabies number 10 and apparently one of the most elusive runners in World Rugby.

Yes we lost the match - but this match gave me a lot of heart and faith for the rest of the season and I wouldnt mind betting it has made a lot of the other teams in the Supe Competition to sit up and take notice.

Thought Brownie was playing out of his skin, as well. I reckon he's seen McCalman at lock and believes he can make the RWC by keeping him there!

Yes. You have to remember that the Reds lost their first up match last season in a game they should've won against the Tahs and look at the season they had. Fingers crossed, hey?

I wouldn't have thought any Frontrower involved in having two tighthead scrums against them would be eligible for team of the week?
