Not as inspiring or as motivational as the Melbourne's Storm new ad campaign.

That's actually a RaboDirect Ad and not the ad that the Melbourne rebels come up with

The Melbourne storm ad reflects the bunch of criminals they are, trying to rebuild there reputation, I think it's a bit cliche overall

What a terrible ad. In summary, we have no history, we have no traction in the market, we have no hope.

    Just....wow.

No doubt the ad men are slapping themselves on the back because they created such an intellectual anti-ad.

Now in my moleskin trousers and my Williams boots
Aboard an outlaw as he leaves the chutes
In my goose neck spurs I rake their fiery hide
And the girls all shouting around the ringside
Oh he's the Fulla from Cunnamulla
    Yeah he's the Cunnamulla Fulla

What do they mean "barely a field to play on" - how many more fields do they want?

like i said, that ad was made by RaboDirect, the idea is that they are both essentially starting off in the country, the odds are against them etc etc.. Its actually quite rare in Australian sport that a major sponsor would spend money to come up with ads like that which are focused primarily on the team and not the companies product.

This is the actual Melbourne Rebels advertisement:

There memberships have jumped double compared to this time last year as a result of it and its overall reception of the ad has been positive. You are the first person to say something negative about that campaign.

I'd get used to that, if you're planning on hanging around here for a while. There's no shortage of RL knockers here.

And no shortage of closet Mungos either, come to think of it.

I reckon the second ad does a better job of hiding the fact that melbourne's a dirty, rainy, cold shit hole.

Not completely hiding it mind you, but better.
